Awesome! Can't wait!
Slight nitpick: I don't like the way that Ms. Marvel's finger and Sentry's cape seem to blend together.

Pros: It features my two favorite super-heroes, Iron Man and Ms. Marvel. Woohooooo! ;D Cons: I'm not a huge fan of Cho. He makes Carol look too... too... just too much. But I can live with him-- the choice of artists could have been much worse. And, of course, there's the choice of writers... but that goes without saying, by now, right?

I'd say we can now be absoloutely certain that Carol leads the team and that is not Tony Stark in the suit...

Newsarama has a fairly extensive interview with Frank Cho. The article reminds us that the Mighty team debuts in Civil War: The Initiative. I found this comment interesting, for the assumptions lying inside:

I still think it's just an odd combination of characters. Not that we haven't seen that before, but it just doesn't work for me (for a number of reasons, not just that Bendis and Cho are doing it). I'm not sure this team works for long... is Ares in there just to be a Gilgamesh?

...and subsequently stand around talking while someone else saves the day.
Who the hell cares. Why did Bendis get the second title is what I want to know.
Ummm...one of those ninjas from New Avengers?
Hey, at least Cho isn't stuck drawing Ronin.

Anyone else note Bendis specifically say this was NOT even aiming close to oldschool Avengers, but close to New Avengers?

Of course he is not aiming at old school Avengers, he actually thinks that it his writing that sells NA and not Wolverine and spider-man.
We will see where this title is by issue 6 or so when he finish his first arc.

I'm pretty sure his writing DOES help sell it.
Not that it's any GOOD, but people go "OMGBRIANMICHAELBENDIS!"

I'm going to predict how Bendis will write MA. He will go out of his way to write a fight-an-issue or close to it. It won't matter if it makes any sense, but he will write a fight-an-issue and claim that he is writing the Avengers in the "classic style." Sadly, the situation will be spun into a win-win for Bendis and Marvel editorial. If fans support the book with sales it will be spun as hard evidence that Bendis is actually a great writer, can write in a different "style," and the criticism of him is unwarranted. If fans don't support this book with sales it will be spun that Bendis/Marvel was right all along that the concept of the "classic Avengers" is dead. The counter-arguments -- that a)Bendis is simply the beneficiary of an unprecedented hype campaign, and that b)fans may actually stay away from MA because of Bendis -- will be conveniently ignored. Personally, I will consider giving Marvel my business again the day Mr. Bendis leaves the title.

Oh, so Donny Osmond will be wearing the armor...? Frankly, at this point, I would prefer it... it could save Tony Stark any FURTHER embarrasment & shame...

A "young green" Captain America? When was he 'green'? In World War II? Bendis has never read an Avengers comic (or at least it appears so) so are we expected to think that he read the old, old, old Invaders and Captain America stories?
Or is he saying she's Captain America if he was young and green?
Why am I bothering to think about this?
