I’ve always liked the Julia Carpenter incarnation of Spider-Woman, starting with her original appearances in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars. And she’s making a comeback, albeit under a different name! Behold the solicitation for August’s Ms. Marvel #6: Wow...three classic Avengers! (If someone was only with the West Coast branch qualifies as “classic”...) Those who remember the second Spider-Woman’s origin may recall that Julia originally preferred the name “Ariadne” or “Arachne” but was overruled by the Commission, which was sponsoring her. I hope writer Brian Reed remembers her actions in Avengers Annual #15. There, she defied her government bosses by fighting for the freedom of blackballed heroes (the Avengers, natch!); the Civil War may be putting her in position to consider a similar choice.

That's one character I found interesting in the Secret Wars (albeit not too poweful). Looking forward to read more about her.
