I gotta say, I would not be happy if one of my "friends" would clone me, and said clone would then proceed to kill one of my friends' friend...

If I was dead for a year or two and a copy of me made by a very good friend I'd known and risked my life with for fifteen years killed another man, I wouldn't be happy but I can't say I'd be filled with a sudden desire to kill him brutally without listening to a word of his defence.
Maybe that's just me?

I don't think too many folks here are arguing, except in jest, that Thor would kill Clor's creators. I do think he would demand the mechanism's destruction, or destroy it himself, and I think he'd have little to do with any of the creators afterwards. For example, if Tony came to him and asked him to participate in the Initiative, a stony stare would be the most reasonable response.
I think he might even identify with the Hulk's rage just a little bit - which, again, would not prevent him from putting a stop to the Hulk.
Of course, Marvel loves the Initiative because it sells books. They've demonstrated with Civil War that consistent characterization is not important to them, which means there's no predicting what Thor will actually do.

Maybe that's just me? No one here, other than you, has actually said Thor would kill anyone. Now who's wildly exaggerating? Go back and read this thread. Almost everyone has has stressed that while unhappy, Thor would not kill his former comrades. Balok made a joke, then followed it up with a serious response about the question. It's exactly this kind of post that makes me think, as stated in another thread, that you don't actually take the time to read and consider the comments of others, primarily those who disagree with you, when you respond. It's starting to feel like argument for the sake of argument.

Thors comming back with a Vengence, he'll make the little bit of killing Clor did look like a walk on the beach. Whoever Hulk doesn't kill, Thor's gonna crack their head open like a coconut. Nobody clones the God of Thunder. NOBODY. Ragnarok is gonna look like a stubbed toe when the man with the Hammer gets back.

I hate that I'm gonna say this. I wouldn't mind Thor having a little of the viking attitude of the Thor in Heroes return. Not all the way up to raping and pillaging, but some.

I needed a tow truck the other day. I wish he'd have been there for some Winching at least.

that was a pretty good interview. It also explains a few things
1. Oklahoma- when he refererenced history I asked myself what would DLW do? answer? research. I came up witht the fact that Oklahoma is the location of a Nordic Runestone called the Heavener stone believed to be placed there by Nordic explorers in the 14th century. So thereis actually a tie here.
2. His explanation for the re-location. He talks about in ancient mythology the possibility of meeting up with a god while taking a walk. This actually makes sense.
I find myself looking more and more forward to this.

What we should get is a painful and heartstring-tugging conversation developing into an argument between these two old friends as the last remaining Big Three bond is shattered.
But it's JMS.
So what we WILL get is Tony tugging his moustache, bellowing at Thor, threatening Asgard and being obliterated by bolts of lightning which technically shouldn't even hurt him.

The preview looks like JMS will be following the Mighty Marvel Modern tradition of taking six issues to tell a two issue story. Six splash pages?!? I wouldn't worry about Tony, Doom, for two reasons: (1) Cap's death has probably sated Quesada's sales induced blood lust for awhile, and (2) I'd buy, read, and re-read any comic where Tony got some sort of comeuppance for his recent acts - and Marvel has made it very clear that they don't want to publish comics I'd like to read.

I don't care for the merger of Donald Blake and Thor again. That was done to death way back when. Tho with the "new edgier" Marvel he'll no doubt have to deal with more "real" issues, like back taxes and wedgies.

I should note that if you want Tony to get what's coming to him you missed it- it's when he was appointed Director of SHIELD for his hard work and many sacrifices in Civil War #7.

Two of these aren't out yet, and I don't read She Hulk - so perhaps you'd tell me how Tony was punished there. A beating? Financial ruin? Drinking again? Lost a limb? I'll take anything, as long as it leaves Tony poorer for the experience!

We do have a thread discussing it but more or less he was beaten rather badly physically and Dan Slott made him completely miseuse the term futurist in order to make his own character seem cool so he also took somewhat of a verbal bashing.
And believe me, I VERY MUCH doubt Iron Man will escape WWH 1 intact.

And believe me, I VERY MUCH doubt Iron Man will escape WWH 1 intact. Really? I think he'll come out of it just fine [1], since he's Marvel's new flagship character. You can say "I told you so" if I turn out to be wrong. [1] Oh, he might get cuffed around a little bit, but nothing worse will happen to him than the beating he took at Steve's hands in CW #7, every part of which healed.
