Are you mad? I'm beginning to think Ed Brubaker could literally write a story about Captain America drinking a glass of water and make it exciting. He is to comic writing what Ian McKellan is to acting. (IE; The best there is at what he does ) What I mean to say is, the moment nearly gave me chills and read almost a little freakily. And that's exactly the intent Brubaker was striving for, as revealed on the next page or two. So why would a moment from a "made-up" flashback ruin it for me? :s

Just checking. I found that the expression of Cap's face in that scene fit the dialogue *perfectly*. I wish they could clone the artist (can't remember off hand who it is) and use him on more Marvel books.
