I would have been happier with a Cap's Kooky Quartet story stretched out, but I'll enjoy it either way.

Yes, it seems at present that one must be satisfied with retro tales. Still, this and Thor's Blood Oath are better than nothing.

Looking forward to this immensely. Is there a scheduled date for the first issue yet?

EMH 2 is on the schedule. From Marvel’s November solicitations: A cover image has also been posted. Am I looking forward to this one? Yes, but cautiously. I much enjoyed the first EMH (with some caveats), and I also much enjoy Joe Casey’s ongoing retro tribute Gødland, but I’ve also been quite disappointed by some of his similar forays: for instance, Fantastic Four: First Family (billed as EMH for the FF) failed to launch, in my opinion. So, I want this new limited series to be good, because I think it could be very, very good—but I’m not having my retailer hold it for me, at least not until I’ve seen the series for myself.

Newsarama has a seven-page preview of EMH II #1. The comic arrives in shops tomorrow. (Tomorrow’s Bullet Points #1 and Wisdom #1 are also previewed at that same Web page.) I enjoyed the meeting scene. I intend to pick this first issue up.

I picked this up with little expectation other than to see a new story based on the old line up. I was optimisitic it would be fun.
What we got is another "the government is an evil intrusive force" story. The first time around with Gyrich it was interesting, and even made some sense. But now (with my greater wisdom and cynicism) I don't care to see the same story being played out in the current NA/Civil War stuff (which of course bleeds into every Marvel title) and the retro "good old days" story.
Ironic that the Founders lament missing their good old days, just as we do.
