From Wizard World Texas
* [Peter] David said there has been a "renaissance" of interest in him at Marvel. In addition to his regular gigs on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and X-Factor, David said he will be writing a Wonder Man mini-series, another limited series, a one-shot and "a really, really big project."
"It's so big that I was warned three times not to announce it here," he said.
Yay! And I hope the 'big project' will be the Marvel 2006 event.

Don't get excited about Wonder Man, or any other project for your favorite characters for that matter, it's most likely just another Rape-Job. There's already an interview with BENDIS! where he pounds on the way Kurt Busiek brought Wonder Man back and that 'it's all a figurement of Wanda's delusion'. Let's not be naive, they're either going to kill him, or kill him and ressurect him as all-but-Wonder Man. The Limited Series is a spin off BENDIS many HOM, DECIMATION type series crapolla. In this day and age, when you see an announcement about your favorite character, run for cover. There's a reason Kurt Busiek left Marvel, ya know... come to think of it, pretty much all credible Writers and Artists have. It's a Hollywood redux now: Kill, Rape, Reboot.

Hah. I was actually sitting down watching Power Rangers yesterday and suddenly I thought "Why did Busiek leave Marvel, anyway?". Now I look at the date and time of your post, ultron, and the events weren't too far apart... weird... (not that I'm a Busiek fan by any stretch of the imagination) But you see, I have faith in Peter David. With the exception of the whole 'Crazy Genis' thing, I have never been dissatisfied with anything Peter David has written. So when he says 'big project', I read 'big QUALITY project'. On the other hand, when BENDIS! says 'big project', I read 'razor blades to the wrists'. - Adrian

I don't guess there's any chance they'll put him back in my beloved red and green costume from around the 160s, is there? ;-)

My favorite one was the red, green and yellow one that PĂ©rez did and appeared first on 162.

So apparently there was some "new news" on this in the last day or two. Anyone able to point me to the details, so I can post 'em on the AA.us site? (Ms. Marvel's back.... Wonder Man's back.... It's like being back in my earliest days of reading comics again!)

There is a short mention by PAD at Newsarama where he describes the Wonder Man mini-series, "My Fair Super Hero".
The Beast challenges Wonder Man to turn the next villian he faces into a respectable hero.

To which I reply, "Wouldn't it be interesting if the next villain were Ultron... or Dormammu?" hahaha...

Ultron or Dormammu would be interesting, but David says the villian turns out to be a woman. Now Wanda would be cool...sorry, just dreaming! ;D
