Since 'thew40' elected to take his keyboard and go home, I have attempted to keep my discussions as civil as possible. But if this is a forum that expects people to always agree with each other, it is the wrong place for me. Who is this 'thew40' person? What happened to him? Did he leave? Did he vanish? Or did he perhaps shed himself of his former skin, thus transforming into the next stage of evolution? Perhaps he's been lurking, sneaking, hiding . . . unable to resist, unable to tear himself away, unable to steer clear. Perhaps he needed time away to re-think things. To understand certain concepts. To consider perhaps that he acted in haste and spoke out of turn. Or . . . maybe he didn't. Who knows, right? I'm just the new guy . . . right?

Bendis seems a little lazy when it comes to research. He has a hard time handling characters he's unfamiliar with -- Hawkeye, in particular. The dialogue and script are usually pretty good, but at times, he lacks in terms of depth. And I'm tired of issues that tend to just have pretty nothing happen -- "The Collective Prelude," for example.
Millar sometimes lacks the more emotional components in his stories. The smaller scenes. A scene with Cap and Iron Man "breaking-up" in the early issues of Civil War would have been much appreciated.

Whatever the next chapter of "Messiah Complex" is. I completely forget what comic it's in, but I'll be getting it.
"Onslaught Reborn" # 5 because . . . heaven help me . . . I can't help myself.
"Mighty Avengers" # 7, because, well, duh.
Maybe "The Twelve." I like the premise, but I'm just not sure I'm all about this yet. We'll see come Wednesday.
And I am absolutely NOT picking up "Brand New Day." That's right. I'd rather read "Onslaught Reborn" than "Brand New Day."

Yep!
I'm still playing around with displays and stuff because I'm waiting on my big desk to get here.

I'm moving to my own place as we speak, and thus, my comics moved with me . . .

Now that I've got my computer back up and running, I thought I'd share my newest display shelf. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

W, that "Hulk vs. Thing" statue looks awesome! May I ask where you got it? I picked it up last year at Toys R' Us. It was a Marvel Legends series of dioramas. Unfortunately, the line has been discontinued after the move to Habro. I'm diggin on that statue too. I also like how your stuff is arranged by theme. Thanks! When I move out and get more shelf space, I plan on doing huge thematic areas! Dark Phoenix Saga, Civil War, Planet Hulk, House of M, and more!

I just re-arranged some stuff in my room and felt the need to show you the NEW nerd corner: I'm particularly proud of the Annihilation/Planet Hulk/World War Hulk shelf.

I know I'm getting tired of all the combat threads so I've taken off for a while and probably won't be coming back too often. Hmm…the criticism might seem more sincere if it came from someone who didn’t announce that “Bendis bites” with every single post he makes… Though we certainly had our disagreements, I still found most of your arguements interesting and far more insightful than the usual "I hate Bendis." However, I too agree with Night Phantom in terms of your s/n. Shame you felt the need to leave. I hope that you, American Avenger/Uberwolf, and others will return. I know when I left, even though it felt good at first, I eventually decided I hated leaving and wanted to interact with everyone again. Here's hoping . . .

It really surprises me about Uberwolf. I thought he was pretty happy here and the two of us were getting along.
Huh.
Come back, buddy!
