This was one very fun read. A crossove event that was truly enjoyable.

Avengers Captain America Iron Man Thor Black Panther Vision Scarlet Witch Swordsman Mantis
Defenders Dr Strange Silver Surfer Hulk Namor Valkyrie Hawkeye
each team believes that the other is in the grips of an evil plot
They are at first pitted against each other contest of champions style, split into teams each vying for a piece of the evil eye. Then they realize their true foes
Dormommu and Loki
Of course they join forces and save the world.
Lots of good fights, many teists and turns and an appearance by Peeping Tom,.. I mean The Watcher.
This is a really fun little series to read. I won't spoil this review with too many details.
Gotta give this outing 9 Loonies out of 10

I read it in TPB 2 or 3 years ago. The disappointment was that the Avengers didn't win a single fight ! Best score was a tie with Hulk vs Thor Cap's fight with Namor was fun, and so was the final battle against Dormannu and Loki, but I think the hero vs hero battle could have been handled better.
I have a blood condition (unfortunately not a joke) when I get home from work I'm usually very tired. So I read comics while talking to my loverly wife (who against all odds is NOT my cousin) and then sharing what I liked, or dislike with my new friends on here who share a common interest.
Well, while I certainly wouldn't wish ill health on anyone, I do appreciate the time you have to spend with your funny books. In between wife, kids, schoolwork, kids' sports, etc. I wish I could find a little more time! So, ultimately -- take care -- and have a blast doing so!
It's cool to have these comics on DVD because I'm able to share the old school comic stylings with my kids. My daughter really likes the Avengers. So she gets to pick it up from the start. and it's something that we can follow along together.

Then I shall exalt you for raising your daughter right... There's still hope for this South Cakalaki of a world, after all...!!!
"Whose side you're on?" Quite simple: heroes who actually behave like heroes...

I wish my wife would let me read comics when I talked to her, or rather, when she talks to me, since she does most of the talking! Sorry to hear about your blood condition, though.
Anyhow, this was great. The Avengers/Defenders battles were actually pretty good, as far as superhero vs. superhero battles go. They weren't cop-outs, though the Defenders won most of the battles because the story dictated it. The "bad guy tricks good guys into fighting each other" is a bit cliche, but it at least got us an exciting story.
