You know, I kinda like the artwork. Not as much as I like the picture of Allison Mack, but you can't have everything.
In another thread someone mentioned all these big events that are happening around the MU that might come to a head at the end of the "Civil War". Things like the Hulk returning to Earth, Doom's back in Latveria, Namor being upset about Namorita's death and a few other things. In this article they mention that the Inhumans are in a "Cold War" with Earth because of something that happened in "Son of M". What happened and do you think that this ties into the "World War III looming on the horizen" scenario?

Naa, I'm pretty sure my- I'm sorry, the DOCTOR ( )'s return will play a role in Civil War. Because if it doesn't, I swear to God I will go to Marvel offices and ***** the ***** for **** and **** the ******, so I will! Seriously though- you don't bring back Doctor Doom in a LEAD-IN title to a MASSIVE, MAJOR company crossover which features VERY distracted heroes and the Fantastic Four at their lowest point, and NOT have Doom make an appearance. It's just obscene.

In this article they mention that the Inhumans are in a "Cold War" with Earth because of something that happened in "Son of M". What happened and do you think that this ties into the "World War III looming on the horizen" scenario? Quicksilver stole the Inhumans’ Terrigen mists (the source of Inhuman mutation) and took the mists to Genosha, where the O*N*E (the American Office of National Emergency) seized them. A contingent of Inhumans arrived at Genosha to retrieve the mists, and the Americans refused to return them. Upon being asked, “Now will you agree to return to Attilan?”, Black Bolt gave a one-word response: “War” (which, given Blackagar’s power, was quite dramatic). For now, the Inhumans consider it a cold war, but they demand the mists’ return. So far as I know, only the United States is considered a foe in this war by the Inhumans—not the whole of Earth—but of course the war could potentially spread.

The last # of Black Panther developed this Inhuman plot a little further... Apparently, at least some of the members of the Royal Family would rather consider most humans on Earth the enemy now...

I'm looking forward to seeing what role the Inhumans will take in the next year or two. For too long, they've been kind the forgotten members of the MU. Just kinda sitting on the sidelines, occassionally poping into Fantastic Four and Avengers.
I think we are building to something with the Inhumans. Something big.
Also - concerning the preview, if there's one thing that can be said about the New Avengers, it's that they are a very cool-looking iconic team. That group pic is awesome.

W, m'man, I'll give you cool-looking, but I'm not going "iconic". Thor, Cap, and IM together with Vision, Scarlet Witch, Yellowjacket, and the Wasp -- THAT would be iconic!
But even though I disdain the present line-up, some of the characters as individuals are cool-looking (Cage would be, too, if they'd bring back the yellow and blue duds with the chain-belt!!!).

Interesting news on the Inhuman situation. I don't know them too well but I've casually been reading their first appearance issue in FF just a few days ago, and I agree that they are too often in the sidelines (like the Eternals. Haven't seen them for ages !). My only problem with a possible WW III scenario is that this does not look like the best time for such a storyline, and in general it would bring the MU even further away from the real world. Still, if the story is good, I'd be happy to read it.
PS, are Quicksilver powers back now with the mist ?

Quicky has SOME powers back. I'm not sure exactly but basically he can shift through... time... via his speed.
He can also repower mutants with his touch but they seem to end up dead very soon... and very horribly...

Thanks for the explanation Sounds like a secondary mutation kind of thing, only mist induced

He can also repower mutants with his touch but they seem to end up dead very soon... and very horribly... I don't think he was doing it with his touch, he was exposing them to the Terrigen Mists. He chose to overlook the Inhumans' warnings about the dangers of exposing humans (even mutant humans) to the Mists. So Pietro exposed several depowered mutants to the Mists, in an effort to restore their powers. The problem was the Mists magnified their powers to an uncontrollable extent...so for example, Callisto, who previously had heightened senses, was now so sensitive that raindrops falling on her skin felt like knifeblades. And Unus' force field would not allow air, sound, etc. to pass through...and he died. I was surprised at how large a role the Inhumans played in "Son of M"--but it was good to see them.

the Eternals. Haven't seen them for ages ! Issue #4 of their six-issue limited series came out last week.
I don't think he was doing it with his touch, he was exposing them to the Terrigen Mists. At first Quicksilver was exposing ex-mutants to the mists, but he acquired the ability to mutate with his touch. For what it’s worth, here’s what All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #9, released last week, has to say about his powers:

So does this mean he might have some horrible death soon? Sorry, Jack, you must have posted while I was composing. You’ll note that the OHOTMU snippet I posted indicates that Quicksilver’s health is in jeopardy, and so, yes, his current abilities could spell his own death. Edited: a ridiculous grammatical error.

For what it’s worth, here’s what All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #9, released last week, has to say about his powers: Thanks for the information, Night Phantom. I did not pick up on Pietro's "touch" power at all in "Son of M"...did this occur there or was it in a different book/series? (And if it was in SOM, I totally missed it! )
