Sooooooooo, we know that MU Cinematic Universe (Avengers) has "The Twins" appearing in the next Avengers film. I mean, we've SEEN them officially on-screen now, and know that actors have been cast as Quicksilver (by name, yes?) and the Scarlet Witch (again, by name?). But surely-- SURELY-- others have seen a much more faithful depiction of a silver-haired speedster who lives in a house w/ "Maximoff" on the mailbox in the most recent trailers for the upcoming X-Men film. I mean, can both studios really, really use the same character this way? Does anyone know how this accommodation came about? Or was each studio counting on the other one to blink first?
Or maybe that's just how darned speedy ol' Pietro is? He can work two movies at once-??

Without spoiling too much, I really liked the X Men version of Quicksilver. Man…I really wish I could say more, but no spoilers are coming from me.

Without spoiling too much, I really liked the X Men version of Quicksilver. Man…I really wish I could say more, but no spoilers are coming from me. I saw X-MEN:DoFP yesterday morning, and couldn't understand why I was put off by the young actor playing Quicksilver (although I certainly enjoyed him). The face was so familiar, but I only remember being deeply disturbed by it somewhere else. It wasn't until afterwards that I recalled Evan Peters (IIRC) from the first season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY. But really, his spotlight sequence was just delightful. . . wonderfully done. My only quibble? Oy, the "silver" hairpiece they plonked on his head! Man, c'mon costume dept-- don't shop at the Halloween store for this stuff. . . ! HB

I enjoyed the version of Quicksilver in DoFP as he was very entertaining but the Age of Ultron version is much truer to the character with the proviso that they're not allowed to mention mutants (or adamantium from the looks of things.
