Another winner from Remender. And great art from McNiven. My one complaint is the cover had more Avengers than the interior , and I'll give McNiven a pass for his Leinul-Yu-ish technique of scribbles representing super-heroes in the backgrounds. I guess every artist can't be George Perez when it comes to detail. But other than that, McNiven and the colorist do a great job. I loved the addition of the VISION to this line-up---this seems like the ACTUAL Vision from the old days. Again, very little (maybe nothing,- where was Sunfire?-) from the X-men. I love Dr Strange's team of Machine Man, Hyperion, Capt. Britian, and Iron Patriot. (Anyone know who's wearing that armor these days?) Iron Man and the Hulk's interaction was great, I think Remender's characterization's are another part of this title I really respect. (So far). SPOILER--- I didn't really like how Cap "came to the rescue" for Janet. I mean, it's a well-known cliche of super-hero team books, but I was hoping Janet could handle the Grim Reaper by herself. (Not like Cap does any better.......yikes!) And the ending was NOT what I expected---another great comic book cliche here-----"How the heck are they gonna get out of THIS mess? " Uncanny Avengers still delivers. A true Avengers comic, IMHO.

I haven't gotten this issue yet. Jan could (sort of) handle the Sentry but not The Reaper? Hmmmm. Oh well. I guess it's like the UFC--you never really can predict how a fight will end up.
