In all of the Marvel universe...who is the mightiest?...the strongest? ...and why. Happy Holidays to all!

Hm, a broad question, for through what standard are you judging this? Strength? Spirit? Power? Knowledge?
In the broadest sense, I would say either Spidey or Cap, for both have an incredible sense of responsibility, vast resourcefulness, and neither ever, ever give up.

In terms of never giving up, I think the Thing has been portayed that way several times, perhaps most famously in Marvel Two-in-One annual #7.

Good point!...mere strength does not make a hero.
I was going to go with the Surfer...but further thought is called for.

Good point!...mere strength does not make a hero. I was going to go with the Surfer...but further thought is called for. Ah, but Norrin Radd isn't of Earth-! ;D Heck, does he even hang around our planet these days? Yep, the question is possibly a little too broad for reasonable discussion to ensue. Too many variables and qualifiers that have to be attached. The Hulk, Cap (Steve), Spidey (Peter), Reed Richards-- in a way you could make a conditional case for any of them, and for many, many others. But I would definitely say that the initial qualifier is that they be native to our own planet, regardless of what they are now. Heck, I'm not sure Thor would qualify, come to think of it. . . HB
