I was just kinda curious, although I know a lot of you will pick "none of the above." ;D

I was just kinda curious, although I know a lot of you will pick "none of the above." ;D Real quick, WS-- what should we think of as the boundaries of something being a "crossover" for the purposes of coming up with a favorite? Is it the current age of universe-wide mega-events? Or can it be as simple as the old "start in one title/finish in another" ploys? Could it include crossover-oriented miniseries? (Avengers/Thunderbolts comes immediately to mind.) Just definin' the terms, y'know- HB (immediately modified): Oh, whoops-- there's the poll, now, I see! Okay, yeah-- I'm definitely in the None of the Above category. If you wanted to go back historically a bit, I'd say that Acts of Vengeance may have worked, well, the least badly of all of them. . . . Say, WS-- y'think World War Hulk would be elligible for the list? I actually would vote for that one, now that I've thought it over. . .

I voted for Siege. Civil War and Secret Invasion were interesting ideas, but I didn't like how they were developed, while Fear Itself felt messy. Siege was a rather simple, positive story after the Dark Reign months, and that made it enjoyable.
I'm also liking AvsX so far, but it's too early to vote it.

And I really liked that crossover. For me, it comes down to Civil War. You can still find my review on this website (somewhere). Disassembled was absolute mess. House of M was really more of an X-Men story with the Avengers guest-starring. Secret Invasion and Fear Itself were both pretty clunky. I didn't read Chaos War and only about half of the space crossovers (though they were good). WWH was good too.

I went with Civil War. I was highly critical of it at the time, but in hindsight, it was not so bad. It really did make me care, whereas Siege and Fear Itself didn't interest me at all, House of M kind of bored me, and Disassembled and Secret Invasion basically had no redemming qualities at all. War of Kings would have been my second choice but I also agree with HB regarding Acts of Vengence. I really have no interest in AvsX and will only read the parts I can't avoid without messing up my Academy run.

I voted for Annihilation: Conquest. It got me back into Marvel comics and introduced the new Guardians of the Galaxy.
For old, old school crossovers, some of my faves were the quick Annual stories, like Avengers Annual #14 / FF Annual #19, against the Skrulls, with the covers mirroring each other.
Large scale, I loved all of the more recent Cosmic stories.

My all-time favorite is Operation Galactic Storm. I hated Civil War and just recently read Secret Invasion. Haven't got to the others yet.
