So with Bendis leaving the Avengers franchise next year, will you be coming back to Avengers?
Yes? No? Maybe? Willing to give it a try?
I'm just curious.

A biased poll: what about polling for 'I never left' and 'I generally liked Bendis and will give the next writer a chance'? The assumption of the poll is that someone went away - not everyone did. By excluding those that didn't you are selecting a very specific viewpoint anyway...

I went away, and I'm not coming back. I just don't feel like I know the characters any more -- at either of the Big Two.
That, and the current price point makes it economically prohibitive for me. I'll stick to the Silver and Bronze Age trades/compilations I am buying.

In fairness to woodside, there was a large contingent on this board who made no bones about leaving the book when Bendis came on. I think this message board skews towards more old school fans and there was some validity to his line of thinking given his long history with the board.

I don't think the intention of this question was to make a poll as to who did or who didn't like Bendis. It was in reaction to the past couple of years of constantly hearing many people (Myself being one of the loudest) expressing huge discontent and clearly stating a ban on any title written by Bendis. This was just an effort to find out if we would be returning to the books without him. I most certainly will. This is not to stay that I will stick around unconditionally but I will give it a try. It may not be better than Bendis but IMO, it honestly can't be worse. I'd prefer Fred Henbeck.

I voted maybe. Anybody will be an improvement over Bendis, but I have to spend my money wisely these days.

Pulpcitizen, I'm happy to see someone else on the boards shares similar views as myself. Wish you were during the huge debates of 2006, 2007, and 2008. I probably could have used someone in my corner!

All apologies for you fighting the fight alone - it was only through enjoying Van Allen Plexico's Sentinels that I happened on Assembled and so in turn eventually here. You guys need better press. ;D
