I hadn't realized this was still ongoing Some comments in the page linked by GF are interesting. DC has built so much around Superman that, even if someone else buys the character, they wouldn't be able to do much with it.

How long is this going to drag on, Is the feud between DC and Shuster/Siegal family going to be as long as the Hatfeilds and Mccoys feud.

LOL--good one, Goldenfist! ;D I hadn't realized this was still ongoing With the help of Neal Adams, Jerry Robinson and others, Siegel and Shuster themselves reached an agreement with DC back in 1975; they received pensions and other compensation such as credit on the Superman movies; and reputedly they were then on relatively good terms with DC. I believe this round of lawsuits was instigated circa 1998 by either the Siegel heirs, or the Shuster heirs, or both (changes in copyright laws may mean the rights revert to them)...so now it's Siegel and Shuster's heirs who are staking their claims.
