What's your opinion on this change in leadership? Everyone who works in the field seems to be very pleased, but I'm a bit doubtful, creators are not often the best businessmen in the world and it could backfire very easily

Everyone who works in the field seems to be very pleased, but I'm a bit doubtful, creators are not often the best businessmen in the world and it could backfire very easily Boy, that Watchmen II rumor just seems to be too dumb to bring up-- even to a casual observer like myself. It wasn't a great critical success; it didn't make nearly the box office $$'s it needed to (did it?); and there's no sequel source material-- which was crucial to the creation of the first film. Why would a studio want to do it again? Brother. . . The interview just sounded an awful lot like the usual blather I hear from my own artistic director when he does interviews. "Collaboration. New Horizons. Exciting new opportunites and goals. Bold new directions. Razza-razza-razza" I must confess that I was kind of tuning it out even as I was reading through it. It's just---- generalities. Same ol' boilerplate for the Council/supporters/board of directors. And I do agree that that is a problem (or even a danger) when the artistic/creative forces are put in charge of running the whole, enormous enterprise. Grand vision is great, and definitely inspirational, but the specifics are really what's interesting. And those are what will determine the company's success or failure. Ahhh, maybe I should read it again--- give 'em another chance. . . HB
