Spiffy! Looks-wise they both fit the parts.

They do look good for the parts.
Toon many fans have been hoping for Triple H to play Thor.

And it's being reported that Natalie Portman will portray Jane Foster.
I wonder if Branagh himself will make an appearance--maybe with some added facial hair and padding he'll show up as Volstagg...or Odin.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Brian Blessed (Augustus from "I, Claudius" way back when-- and then assorted kings & patriarchs in about half the British costume dramas since then) had been cast as Odin. And he'd be great-- but I wonder if he's really Volstagg? 'Cause he'd be even greater at that. Wow, Branaugh may be kinda old for a lot of the other roles-- and he's not really a "type", y'know? But he's such a terrific actor, he can carry off almost anything and give it ample life. HB

I could see Richard Griffiths (in his younger days) as Volstagg.

After seeing True Blood, the only actor I can picture as Thor is Alexander Skarsgard: He's definitely got that brooding-Nordic-dude look down. But I guess Kirk's daddy might be OK....
