So I finally got around to reading the SI. Most reviews I'd seen prior gave it a big MEH. For the main SI and Avenger tie in's I'd have to agree. However, I absolutely loved some of the other tie ins. Ms. Marvel and Captain Britain were great which was a pleasant surprise. Guardians of the galaxy, Inhumans She Hulk, Thunderbolts, Panther, X-men and Nova were good. Even Hercules was entertaining. Initiative, not so much, but more than the main Avenger titles in which some issues were terrible art and writing wise. Jan's death was a waste. There was no build up. The shock and horror you'd expect to see just wasn't there. I can only wonder how John Buscema would have drawn her demise. Overall, it wasn't bad experience. It did feel kind of hollow though with hundreds of these super skrulls around, each one mimicking numerous super powers and they were so ... ineffective. And yet the Super Adaptoid and Absorbing man could take on a full team by themselves. Too over the top. There's one panel that still bothers me. Secret Invasion #6. Toward the beginning of the magazine they splash the areas of the world where the attacks have been showcased in tie-ins. San Francisco and the x-men, Attilan with the Inhumans, Wakanda and the Panther, The Savage Land, and then Israel. Was there a tie in for Israel or was BENDIS! just showing how Jewish he is again? I can't even tell who's being attacked. Doesn't look like Sabra, Kitty Pryde maybe? It's just bothering me.

Israel was probably just thrown in to show another corner of the world, and how it was fighting back- showing the global scale of the invasion. It made sense for Sabra to be fighting Skrulls there.

Okay, I can see that. I was just wondering if there was a tie in for that scene just 'cause every other area shown on that page was represented in other titles.
