Just thought I'd sneak a review in on this thread for Hulk #11.
As I've stated before, this book is my guilty pleasure, and I've been sucked into buying this for the great covers. I'm not a Loeb fan by any means, (especially after he ruined Millar's Ultimates) but this book is FUN. Great art, big "action-packed" panels, and amazing color.
This Defenders/Offenders story is whacked-out, just a barrage of 70's characters thrown at the reader, but so nicely drawn and colored, I'm loving it.
I'm having trouble believing these are the "real" Defenders, as Namor and Dr Strange are in older costumes, and the Silver Surfer tells Terrax,
"I will see you dead before I would allow you to succeed..."
that seems a little harsh for the Surfer to say, I remember him as more laid-back and hippie-ish......maybe I'm nit-picking....
And two other jeers, a crotch-shot taken by the Green Hulk- to Rulk's groin-area, it's just cheesy and uneccessary, IMHO.
Also, the "HULK Cartoons" by "Audrey Loeb" (hmmmmmm....), they are really dumb, and I don't get them.
But still, an enjoyable issue, and seeing Psycho-Man with his fear/doubt/hate device gave me chills!
7.7
