This is said to be the new roster of the Mighty Avengers after Secret Invasion so it looks like the Sentry and Ares are out of the team.

Two questions: who's the guy between IM, Jocasta and the Scarlet Witch (could it be Hank Pym)...? And who's the dude between IM, Jocasta and Hercules...?

I keep fearing that these are Young Avengers that are being brought into the fold...Unlike others I didn't ever embrace that book. this will certainly be a powerhouse lineup if this is actually the case. Hulk, Iron Man, Hercules and Vision alone are pretty scary... Add in Wanda and you've got a world beater team there.

Come to think of it, as things stand right now in the MU it seems highly unlikely that the Avengers would accept the Hulk or Wanda in their midst... and I always felt as long as the current version of the Vision's around Marvel would never bring the original Vizh back... I hope we're both wrong, freedomfighter.

The character next to Jocasta is U.S.Agent.
In the resent Hulk issue Iron Man decided to help Hulk.
Hulk even asked Thor if he wanted to be Hulk's friend and they shook hands.

interesting line-up, if it is for real. It sort of reminds me of the Marvel Adventures Avengers team, with Hulk and Stature in there. Biggest question for me is: how the heck is Wanda there? I know Slott did say Jocasta would join the team, but I am not completely convinced this is the team. It could be a panel from SI with just a bunch of heroes together. I guess we'll see. I'm curious where this image came from.

The Vision looks all shiney like the Young Avengers version. That guy in the back looks too angry to be Justice. So if it is USAgent, what happened to that new Alpha Flight or whatever it was he joined up north?
Also, maybe Stark invented a time machine and pulled Wanda into the future before she went insane. God knows these days. I would like to see some closure on the Scarlet Witch though. Not just leave her wandering around with near god like powers. yuck.

That guy could be Marvel Boy . . . oh lord, it likely is... sorry but noh-varr suffers from grant morrisonization. that is he's got such all out crazy and numerous abilities that he makes for a very boring good guy. mind control, exploding fingernails, super speed, strength, advanced technology, nearly impossible to hurt... sersi also suffers from this for example, she can fly, is super strong, almost unkillable, shoots eye beams and can rearrange matter. even superman should be afraid of sersi. eh, now i'm hoping this is just promo art for something. this team is looking entirely too powerful.

Oh gosh, so we're probably looking at (IF indeed this is the new roster...) Stature - I had originally thought it was Ms. Marvel in a new costume...- , that young skrull/kree who likes to take on a Hulkish appearance -I forgot his codename...-, the NEW Vision... Then I guess the dude with the gun and goggles could very well be the young Kang, instead of Pym and I wouldn't be surprised at all at this point, seriously folks..., if the "Scarlet Witch" shown here would turn out to be Asgardian pulling a Loki/Ultron on us... oy vey Comic Book Gods, let me be wrong...!!! And what else...? Oh, yes, Jocasta. Just. wonderful.

I am wondring why U.S.Agent is on the team he went to canada to join the new Omega Flight.
U.S.Agent was a jerk in the Omega Flight series he even called Captain America Soft.(As in Cap was too soft on topics and villains)

Well if that is the rest of the Young Avengers than that's probly Patriot not USAgent.

I met Dan Slott today at Dublin City Comic Con (Had a BLAST by the way), and he had some interesting things to tell me, among which are this:
1) Hank Pym *is* in the team 2) It is being referred to as 'The ray of light in the Dark Reign'- IE: Much lighter tone than the other ultra-dark books 3) The image in the first post is NOT the cover of Mighty Avengers 21/22/23 as has been speculated. It may be the roster, I don't know, but it is NOT the 3-part cover.

1) Hank Pym *is* in the team Yes! Now just WHEN do these changes happen, so I can reserve a copy at my local comic shoppie right away?

Now I'm pretty sure the guy with the gun is Hank Pym. I wonder if it's the REAL Pym and where he's been hiding? If it's up to Bendis, we'll probably find out in a year or two, or maybe three or four.

How are they getting the Hulk on the team since Hulk has a grudg e with Iron Man for blasting him off into space.

Not only will you not have to wait a year or two, you'll find out in Secret Invasion #8- out right now! And yes guys, the confirmed roster is indeed that evident in the pic. (Though it is not the cover.) To wit, the roster iiiiisssss... -US Agent -Iron Man -Hulk -Jocasta -Hank Pym (Who appears to be adopting a Wasp-like identity) -Stature -Hercules -Scarlet Witch -Vision ...Well, to my mind it is certainly the Avengers-iest Avenger roster since Disassemblked. Throw in Jarvis and a classic HQ and it sounds like a deal. Now, the question is how they resolve the Scarlet Witch dilemna... but from preview pages it looks like that's a major focus of the first story.

Just picked up SI #8 and haven't had a chance to read it yet.
Well, that roster and Slott have me pretty excited about Mighty. The Bendis books, not so much.

I am looking forward to reading what Dan Slott has in store for the new roster of the Mighty Avengers.
There's are two people who aren't excited as everyone else is.
One person said that Slott should've learded to shut his mouth before bashing a character Gligamish(whatever his name is) and that Dan Slott doesn't know how to define heavyhitters.
Another person I know call's the new roster....Looks like a rehash version of Force Works.

What's worse? "Bashing" a character, or killing them off? Let's see, Bendis has killed:
Hawkeye Vision Scarlet Witch Wasp
I kind of hope Slott might kill Sentry, Ronin, and Jessica Jones.

Let's see, Bendis has killed: Hawkeye Vision Scarlet Witch Wasp And don't forget Antman and Jack of Hearts. Though does killing a character who was already dead really count? That should have been a major sign of what a bad writer he was from the start. His first big act was bringing in a dead character and killing him within a page. I kind of hope Slott might kill Sentry, Ronin, and Jessica Jones. But that's been done so many times already. Remember the time Sentry died during the Kree/Skrull War and again in Secret War II and again in Inferno and again in Infinity Gauntlet and again in... Sorry, I just never get tired of making fun of that ridiculous "He's been here all along" concept.

Why kill Ronin Clint is Ronin right now.

Yeah the Sentry will ALWAYS be a lame idea/character. and good point about Ronin, just kill the lame-o character (just cuz it was another stupid Bendis idea that went nowhere), NOT Clint Clint should be Hawkeye, not Bullseye, not some teenage girl, c'mon

The Hawkeye on the Young Avengers took the name to honor Hawkeye she doesn't even know that he's alive.
The Sentry was created by PAUL JENKINS NOT BRIAN BENDIS.

The Hawkeye on the Young Avengers took the name to honor Hawkeye she doesn't even know that he's alive. Actually, they met in the Young Avengers specials that came out recently. Clint basically passed the baton (and bow) on to her.
