I'm intrigued about those scenes showing Pym, Richards, and Stark. I think they must be flashbacks to civil war. I know Slott has been slowly dealing with some of the ethical issues Hank has had about the Initiative. Perhaps we will get some more background into how things went down between the three of them.

. I know Slott has been slowly dealing with some of the ethical issues Hank has had about the Initiative. Considering that under SLott's pen, Hank has had absolutely no problem with making five pure clones of a dead boy and lying to everyone about it, as well as making them soldiers, I don't think he has any right to protest about ethical issues. Slott has, in just two or three issues managed to give Hank horrific crimes more than equally anything done in CIvil War + slapping Jan combined. There's a BIG difference between making a robot which looks like your dead friend and slapping it with some DNA-realistic skin and then reluctantly deploying it because you believe it is the ONLY way to save the universe and casually making clones of a dead kid to work for you while lying to his family.

I'm not sure Hank has "no problem" with some of the things he's been doing. IIRC, he's been shown to be taking pills and has expressed unhappiness with being involved with Baron Blitzkrieg. I'm interested to see where Slott will go with this...and yes, Hank is going to need to do a lot to redeem himself. But I think that's true of the other two guys you've mentioned as well!

Well, I'd argue this is much worse than anything Reed or Tony did and with far less reason. If Sue can forgive Reed for what he did, so can I. That said, we haven't seen any real regret at all about Hank's part in this particular op, and I've seen no reason for him to be acting wildly inconsistent with his character- I'd argue even Bendis is writing a better, more 3 dimensional Pym. Hopefully that's a "so far", and my hopes are raised by Gage coming on the book.

The Taskmaster will be in the issue and I can't wait to see what happens when he shows up, Taskmaster also trained the Scarlet Spiders.
