I think it's also important to remember that the change in everyone's continuity can be traced back to the aftermath of House of M. Not only did Wanda's actions decimate the mutant population, it also changed the world around it. If you were able to corner one of the writers at Marvel and cite all the arguments and actions that don't make sense lately, they'd probably say that Pietro and Wanda's actions were the cause of it all.
And, although I hate to admit it, it does make sense. It's still Earth 616, but then again, not the one most of us are used to (Pre-House of M)

Too late, Nutcase... Doom's heading your way to have a conversation with you & Deathpool's on your -mixed- trail (tail...?) as well... It seems he's not happy with your opinion on who would win in a tussle between him & the Panther... Your only way out is to swallow your pride & accept the help of my friend Squirrel Girl, AKA the Evil Bushy Tailed One, after all she's already defeated Doom once... Oh, and it wouldn't hurt if your wife would tell Bullseye to take care of Deathpool... Say, something just occurred to me: if your wife has Bullseye on retainer, then she must be the Queenpin...
"Whose side you're on?" Quite simple: heroes who actually behave like heroes...

Well Marvel are no DC, we don't see them attributing everything to these big cosmic reboots.
well they did create their own Earth 2 with the Ultimate Universe and House of M was a cosmic reboot of a sort for several months, wasn't it? The fact that the reboot button got undone maybe just means they're warming up to it? Give 'em time...
