The Two Biggest Hero on Hero Brawls Marvel has produced as far as I know. I figure they may be worth comparing.
I liked the Art of CW beter, but IC's battlegrounds were a little better though (NY makes for more holding back on destruction), CW's method of dividing the heroes was more interesting because of the varying conviction in their actions held by everyone.
The X-men participation in IC as much appreciated although Alpha Flight I could have done without.
Interestingly enough both Have a Spider-man that Switches sides and a FF divided.
overall CW wins out, The Cap breaking out of the helicarier scene being the deciding factor.

I... canot comment. It has been a long, long time since I read the Infinity Crusade. Then again, the fact I can't remember it too well and forgot about it until you brought this thread up, versus how high are regard Civil War, mean my answer to which is better is probably not in doubt .

It's been too long for me, as well. I seem to recall that they took that Infinity Gauntlet about one mini-series too far [1], but I don't remember which one was the real clunker.
[1] If you've seen the film "A Bridge Too Far" you will understand what I mean. If you have not, I recommend it, unless you're dead set against war pictures.

I read the Crusade a couple of years ago. The good thing comparing with CW was that the heroes fighting on the wrong side were mind controlled, so once it was all over, there were no hard feelings, broken friendships etc. However I think that CW was handled overall better plotwise, Infinity Crusare was quite complicated with all the tie-ins.
