Comic Book Resources has a five-page preview (six-page, if you count the cover) of Fallen Son #2, a.k.a. the Avengers/Anger issue due this week. (Note: interior pages 2 & 3 form a single spread.) There’s also a six-page preview ( eight-page, if you count the cover and text-based recap) of this week’s FF #545, which looks to be quite awesome.

It's good to see that we will be getting Ben's reaction to Cap's demise. They had a number of adventures together and seemed to work well together. I always see Ben as sort of "everybody's favorite uncle", someone who is connected to and beloved by the vast majority of heroes. He should be a person others turn to in this time.
The F4 preview looks good! It's great to see the FF in space, and with the Surfer. I'm digging this art too - reminds me of Alan Davis.

I'm just proud that I was able to see the storyline before I knew what it was. I think following the 5 stages of grief is a really neat idea here.

I'll be quite honest and FF-biased here when I say I view Ben, Cap and Spidey together as the soul of the Marvel Universe. Of course I also view the Invisible Woman as the heart and Mister Fantastic and Iron Man (and, thanks to civil war, Yellowjacket) as the head, and Thor as the 'strong right arm'. The everyone's favourite uncle comparison is brilliant; I can see how people might disagree even with Cap or whatever but Ben's the guy EVERYONE loves. I'm glad Loeb seems to unbderstand this, that nice preview so far. And of course FF will rock, at this stage after three issues had you any doubt?

Don't forget the mainstays of Doom as its ego and Loki as its mischeivious spirit.

I don't think I'd qualify Loki as mischievious any more. He HAS been the God of Evil for some time more than a trickster. Besides, Doom is not the ego. Doom is the soul, brains, strong right hand and heart all rolled into one

Thanks for the links to the previews, as I rarely visit CBR.
I had one question after looking at both previews...
Why the @#$%! am I not reading FF? I thought this weeks run to the shop was going to be on e issue stop, now I will be grabbing FF and any recent back issues they might still have on the shelf.
Thanks!

Mantis would be the appendix. Nobody knows what it's really for and it can be romoved with a minimum of pain and the body never misses it.
