A interview from a little while back indicated that may be either the death of a character or the death of an idea.

I'm hearing Cap #25 for the death, but that's unconfirmed.
DEFINITELY a character though, that's beyond doubt. Hell, the solicits flat out state that. Honestly, I'd be kinda tickled if al this was for a d-lister like Goliath. Anticlimatic, perhaps, but a nice homage.

Solicitations for the first two Fallen Son issues have suggested that the titles given are not final. I read in one news/rumor column a suggestion that the overall series might be Fallen Soldier—which, to me, suggests more than anyone else Steve Rogers, who is one of the Marvel Universe’s most beloved characters (or was until recently) and fits in with the focus characters for each issue. (The column also indicates a link with Captain America #25.) Solicitations keep indicating the series is about the death of a hero (some of us had speculated it was not about the literal death of a person)—but it could be about a faked death. Indeed, the first issue has Wolverine not believing it; maybe he’s right.

forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=104091It seems as though it's not carrying the "Civil War" label anymore, which means I'm striking it from the "Read Order" and won't be including these issues in my up-coming "Civil War" read-a-thon -- which has been moved back up to later this early March/late April. I'll still be buying the series, though. ~W~

I'm still not entirely sure. That it is what they want us to think it is.
