I like the format of four short stories rather than one long one. It's interesting. And I like Jenkins's writing a good bit.
I have a question about this issue, though: Maybe I'm being dumb, maybe my brain is tired from celebrating Italy wining the World Cup today... ;D but--
--what exactly was the significance and deep meaning behind the Caesar thing?! It surely did seem to be trying to say something important-- something about Iron Man, particularly-- but I can't quite draw the connection.

It's possible I'm missing some deeper meaning, but I think it alluded to the fact that Iron Man's encounter with Prodigy II marked a point in the Civil War where Iron Man is fully committed to his course of action - he has crossed his Rubicon. And the publicity may force other heros to cross their respective Rubicons by in essence forcing them to realize that fence-sitting is likely to be pointless and dangerous in this particular conflict.
It would suggest that if Iron Man's side doesn't win the Civil War, Iron Man will never be held in the same regard by other heroes - in particular they will not trust him.
In comics time has a way of fixing problems but I hope this doesn't make Iron Man an unwriteable character, which might force Marvel to put someone new in the role.

Yes, I think Balok is right. The story tells mainly the allegory "Don´t cross the Rubicon". The Rubicon is a small river (today) somewhere between Italy and France. Roman Legions were not aloud to cross this river, therefore entering roman main territory.
Ceasar did cross the Rubicon with his Legion and afterwards there was no turning back possible -- it meant war with only one victor coming off.
So, if Iron Man is Ceasar who´ll be Brutus... ;D
