A spoiler, I guess, if you don't look at the cover of ULTIMATE FF this month.
What's the deal with Thor hanging out in a bar in this issue? When did he get out of lockup?

Hey, it's an "alternate reality" story in an alternate reality...

Later in the issue it becomes "alternate timeline," but I could have sworn his appearance in the bar comes well before they tamper with the timeline.

The first letter I sent to Marvel was when I was about 7 years old. I was ticked off because the Thing was somewhere in a Marvel Two-in-One that made it impossible for him to be in the same place he was in the FF of that month. I was a continuity geek even back then.
But I understand what you're saying -- doesn't seem to make much sense that Thor got out of jail.
As long as we're talking about Ulitmate FF, what did anyone think of Namor's treatment in that book? Personally, I thought it was a good take -- consistent with other "gritty" changes in characterization we've seen in the Ultimate universe.

Yeah, the Sub-Mariner. Was never that much a fan of him. I mean, did he ever choose one side? I prefer the bad guys being bad, and as he never was a real bad guy he never was a real good guy either. But then, I nearly do not know any classical stories from his own mag and I´m an air breather...
I think this paradox seems not having changed in the Ultimate universe.

Anyone read the next installment, with the Super Skrull (who didn't do any Super Skrull stuff in the book, mind you)? Again, we've seen this all before with the "everyone's a meta-human" deal. Sort of like Kingdom Come with the proliferation of heroes, sort of like Legion, too. Overall I didn't think it was a bad read, but then we got the zombie thing at the end again... Hey, I'm big on recycling, too, just not in my comics stories!
Those of you who grew up in the 70's, did you buy any of Marvel's monster comics? I read one here and there, but it was pretty much a steady diet of Marvel and DC superheroes for me. I wonder why all of a sudden the big monster/zombie push?

Yeah, you´re right about that. The issue with Super Skrull wasn´t all bad, but nothing awe-inspiring. And then the timing. In the Ultimates we just get to know the Krees, right now heroes are fighting against Gah-Lac-Tus (is that accurately written? ;D) and Kree as well - so, was it really necessary to introduce the Skrulls by now (I think it is there first appearance in the Ultimate universe)?
I never liked the monster comics, not even Marvel´s Dracula (which is here in Germany comparatively popular). And zombies, please be forbearing, is there anything more boring than zombies, wether in films or comics...?
