In the event the ProReg Side wins, where do people see Cap ending up? I was thinking today that, given Lukin's international presence, that Cap could easily work against him while basing himself overseas, either in England (another partnership with Spitfire and Union Jack) or in Russia, right in the heart of Lukin's territory.
Of course, on a more fanciful note, maybe Cap will start Avengers Europe or Avengers:Free World.

I've seen those 2 teasers which seem to indicate that Cap would end up as president of the United States & Shellhead as... well, shellhead of SHIELD. I'm hoping that's all they are, mere teasers, for if they would really be an indication of where they're headed it would be just another (like I needed more) reason to be pi--ed at Those Who Sit & Rule in Shadows, particularly so when it comes to Cap being president. One of the things that always atracted me to the fictional MU was that, aside from having places like Latveria, the Savage Land, the Blue Area of the Moon, et al, it was a world very much like our own, if superpowered indivduals would happen to exist. But to have Cap as president would, I fear, stir away the New (sigh...!) MU too much from those roots of "realism" which I treasure.

While the President (though not necessarily this president) is a hero to many, I don't think a superhero comic of the President would be all that exciting. Though that might be an appropriate project for Bendis: lots of meaningful talking with no action. After all, if he were president, when Batroc or Crossbones showed up, the Secret Service would be on him like white on rice and kick his a** up and down Pennsylvania Avenue while Cap gets carried to Marine 1. Not much of a comic book.

I'm wondering if Cap will be taking on yet another identity. In the current issue of CW Front Line (#9), he states that "This is no longer the country I vowed to defend....welcome to the Divided States of America." This kind of talk always seems to precede him taking up a new role.
That speculation aside, I certainly wouldn't object to him hanging out in Europe, particularly if he and Union Jack were to work together.
