I had noticed it and thought the same ! When I have a minute I'll scan it and post it here ;D Now that we are here, comments on FNSM ? I've been enjoying it quite a lot, especially the use of old characters and long lost villains in recent issues.

This is one of the only books out there that makes me feel like I've stepped back in time to a period where the books were taken seriously but were still fun. Today, most books are either satire or so heavy that you feel bogged down as read them. This feels like the late 60s or early 70s. I was also thrilled to see Sandman's not so dark side coming out again. Asking Spidey for help and worrying about his dad my show that there is still some trace of the good guy left in there. I just wish the cover wasn't following the pattern of many of Marvel's books in that it is misleading. You think it's going to be a knock down drag out of a fight between Spidey and Sandy but it's not like that at all. At least it didn't have Wolverine on the cover so I'm not too upset.

FNS is an odd one in my book.
It's on my pull list. The lack of important things happening means it remains towards the bottom of my pull list.
But... it's fun.
I mean, when I read ASM or FF or whatever, I think "Wow, that was a GREAT comic!" (Well actually no, no I don't do that with JMS FF. Did it with Waid and did it with McDuffie's first though.) When I read FNS I think "Wow, that was a... well, an okay comic."
And then I read it again. And again. And devour it. The wait between each FNS is never that bad, but I've come to love this series. There's just a light hearted fun about it- which has been lacking a little since 'Ringo left but Eaton still rocks- and there's just something about it which screams that Peter David LOVES writing Spider-Man.
Non-essential, totally at odds with most books I read, but a great little piece. Reminds me a lot of the good old days of Fantastic Four actually.
Aah, my old Imaginauts...

Also, I think FNSM is very complementary to Sensational SM, which once again features classic villains and long lost characters. Nothing that makes you catch your breath in disbelief, but fun and usually not disappointing. Here is Adrian's letter and FNSM reply (click for full size image).

Congrats to our own Adrian J. Watts. Check out the letter from down under in the new issue of FN Spider-man. I’ve noticed his letters appearing there and in other comics lately— Irredeemable Ant-Man and She-Hulk come to mind. Who says this isn’t the Downright Magnificent Marvel Age of Down-Under Missive Madness?!??

I'll chime in as another person really enjoying F'N Spider-Man.
PAD's part of the reason I looked into comics a few years ago, and got hooked in my 30s, when I hadn't read them as a child outside of the newspaper section. I'd read his books, heard he wrote comics, and now FNSM, X-Factor and Fallen Angel are all on my hold list. (Some other parts of the reason include Neil Gaiman and JM Straczynski.)

I revived this thread to further testify that Peter David is a God! No, but seriously, I'm already adoring FNS as among the most fun titles I read, but PD is doing yet another thing right. We're at the stage now where I'm not entirely sure he can do wrong on this book! He has confirmed that issue 24 will be totally dedicated to a Peter/Jonah face-off which will answer many questions like "Did Robbie know?" 1. This is a sattelite Spidey title telling a HUGE tale for once 2. This is a showdown brewing for forty years 3. I cannot believe JMS started it so brilliantly in 533 then never mentioned it again 4. THIS IS POST ONE MORE DAY SO HE IS STILL UNMASKED AFTER THAT STORY! WEHOO!

Actually, when online he really does rule. He has a tendency to OWN critics of his books
